HOW TO BECOME AN EARLY RISER WITHOUT TRYING TOO HARD
Early risers are often praised for their ability to get up earlier than the rest. They are viewed as people who are focused and know what they want from life. This mentality has pushed most parents to reprimand their sleep loving children for being lazy. Most people have been woken up early their entire life just because sleeping in is associated with laziness. The pressure to be associated with success is always high in today's society and early risers are associated with success. There are people who arrive at work so early that they make it seem like people who come to work on time are late! So how do you become an early riser?
1. Find something important to do in the morning
When I say something important I don't mean your job unless your job is your passion. It has to be something you really love. I know some ladies who wake up early to put on their make up well and do their hair. Gym fanatics are also known to be at the gym at ungodly hours to keep their bodies in the best shape. I try to make it a point to eat breakfast at home. Preparation of a decent and healthy breakfast can take up to 30 minutes. This has prompted me to wake up an hour earlier so that I have ample time to prepare breakfast, get ready for work and eat my breakfast before I leave for work. Over time, I have added other activities like studying, writing and doing some cardio. This morning routine that ensures I am up early and I also do things that matter to me when I start my day.
2. Find a monetary motivation
Fresh ideas usually come early in the morning when you are well rested. Waking up early to hustle for an extra coin is a good motivation to get up early. Think of it as dedicating your most productive time to your business before you go to make money for someone else (work). Making money early in the morning will give you a sense of achievement that will elevate your mood for the rest of the day. Financial stability makes people happy so why not make it your goal to work towards your financial stability every single morning. For example, if you work towards making an extra Ksh. 500 daily, you will have an extra Ksh. 15,000 at the end of the month and Ksh. 180,000 at the end of the year if you save the money diligently.
3.Work on your dreams
Your dreams are valid! Do not let the daily grind get in the way of achieving your dreams. Be selfish and make working towards your dreams the first priority every day. It is pointless to work on your dreams in the evening when you are exhausted. You won't be productive and your progress will be slow. Every beginning of the year people make resolutions that they do not do by the end of the year. If you gave one resolution 2 hrs a day, you would have worked for 730 hrs towards achieving one resolutions. If your resolution was an online business, you would be seeing some income by the end of the year.
So basically, early risers just don't wake up because they are not sleepy but because they have something they need to do. Something that they value. Something that means the world to them and they cannot waste another moment sleeping instead of working on their mission. Find that inner calling that will beacon you to get out of bed.
